Optional step card - CMB journey, design and language options

The full new CMB/GLP-1 journey (21 steps, exact order from the patient-engagement-implementation-plan-and-ideas Doc), rendered in the live CMB journey panel style. Optional visits sit inline at their journey positions - step 15 (Dietitian visit #3, month 7) and step 17 (Health Coach visit #4, month 10) - never in a separate section, with no countdown. Each panel below is the same journey with a different optional-card treatment: the layout choice (A / B / C) is with the Clinical team. Existing step descriptions are verbatim from the live portal; new steps (14, 15, 20, and CGM step 8) carry drafted copy. The patient books or skips an optional visit; skipping is final and always keeps the journey moving.

The layout options

Step 1 keeps today's live pending-banner pattern (amber) for contrast - optional cards are deliberately calmer. Copy on the cards is the decided set from the language board below.

Language board - pick by ID

DECIDED: badge = G1, guidance line = L5, buttons = B1, skipped-state line = S2, skip confirmation = C1a (required; skip is final, no un-skip). The layout (A / B / C) is with the Clinical team. Alternatives stay listed - if one reads better than the chosen line, say so.
G - badge on the title row: G1 CHOSEN - all journeys
G1 CHOSENOptionalPlain and instantly scannable; applies to every journey's optional visits.
G2Optional visitNot chosen.
G3Your choiceNot chosen.
G4Extra supportNot chosen.
B - button pair: B1 CHOSEN
B1 CHOSENBook visit / SkipMatches the existing "Book visit" label; shortest.
B2Book visit / Skip this visitNot chosen.
B4Book for extra support / I'm good, skipNot chosen.
L - guidance line under the title: L5 CHOSEN
L5 CHOSENExtra support, if you'd like it. Book this visit, or skip it and move on to the next step of your journey.Leads with the value (the badge already says "Optional"), want-framing, verbs match the buttons, ends in forward motion echoing the C1a dialog.
L1This visit is optional. It's here if you'd like extra support - skipping it won't hold up your journey. Not chosen - opens by repeating the badge.
L2An extra visit, only if you want it. Your journey moves on either way.Not chosen.
L3Here if you need extra support. Not a blocker - book it or skip it, totally your call. Not chosen.
L4You've come a long way. One more session is here if you want it - or skip it and keep going. Not chosen.
S - skipped-state line: S2 CHOSEN
S2 CHOSENSkipped - your journey moved on.Confirms no penalty; works for admin skip too.
S1You skipped this optional visit. Not chosen.
S3Skipped. Your care team is still here whenever you need them. Not chosen.

Skip confirmation dialog - final copy (C1a)

Skip is final (no un-skip); the finality is deliberately unstated in the dialog. Keep is the primary (safe default), Skip the quiet action.

C1aFinal copy
  • The dialog stays deliberately light: the can't-re-add fact lives in behavior, not copy.
